So while watching reviews and driving three 2016's, I've noticed the blue line that follows the green line somewhat. What is it and what does it mean? My 2015 doesn't have two moving bars, just one.

I haven't found anything in the owners manual about the blue line. Maybe it is the electric motor load? It seems the ICE will start when it reaches the pwr zone.

I'll check tomorrow after 10am and try to deduct if that's correct. I have an appointment at the dealer to take my new Prius home

Page 120 of the owner's manual - it's called "ECO Accelerator Guidance".

The blue line is dedicated to guide you while accelerating. If the green line (your acceleration ) follow the blue line you are doing a eco driving. It can be desactivated (so only the green line appear). Hypermilers must "beat" the blue line to hypermile : -)

that's pretty cool, answers a lot of 'how hard should i accelerate for best mpg's' questions.

That's a really cool feature. You guys are lucky you get any lines... my CT200h has a hard to use old fashioned needle. Though I did manage to get an indicated 52mpg yesterday on my afternoon commute home. But that's very hard for this car...
