    All good points.

Anyone know what is being considered? An electronic audio sound device? or mechanical? Would it be a continious sound or only at slow speeds? such as in a parking lot .... blind pedestrians are not too much of a problem on the Interstate. Will the sound be audible inside the vehicle? Will it be a recall? and who will pay the cost? If it is an electronic devise with a speaker, that could cost a bunch.

I assume the usual, enormous fines apply if you do not comply? Then there will be exemptions for police, taxis, hollywood personalities, congressional vehicles, union bosses, undocumented aliens and all others that lobby against it. Hey, maybe all those that complain about rattles and squeeks can get an exemption.

A perfect example of government out of control.

Well, you know THAT will never work!:p

Or we could try a crazy thing where both drivers and pedestrians use common sense and maintain awareness of their surroundings.[/QUOTE]
