I have a 2011 Prius with 187k miles I replaced the 12 volt battery over the weekend however shortly before I replaced the battery the car threw a check hybrid system warning light. After I replaced the battery the warning light hasn’t came back however I’ve put less than 200 miles on the car. Would the codes still be stored in the computer or did they disappear when I replaced the 12volt battery? I’m planning a trip from Arizona to California later this week and I don’t want the warning light to come on in the middle of the desert. I know a weak 12v battery can cause the warning light but since I have 187k miles I would rather be safe than sorry.
