That is a better shot that shows more taper than the first set of photos. We'll see when the production car is announced and we can do a tail-to-tail comparison.

The problem with the Prius v highway performance is the roof line-rear taper ends too soon.

I've been saying for a long time that I wonder why there isn't, or hasn't been much direct competition to The Prius. The Prius IS a winning formula.

The trick for Hyundai will be do they get it right.

I'll take a wait and see attitude.

I think it does have to match or beat the efficiency and utility of The Prius. Anything too much less in either arena and it simply becomes a weak imitation. SEE: Latest Honda Insight.

Too many "alternatives" to the Prius, come out, and then it becomes something like.. BUT ...it only get's 42 mpg, and it has a small trunk....

But if an automaker has finally taken direct aim at The Prius and is trying to embrace the formula of high efficiency and real world utility? Good for them, I welcome the competition and the expanded alternative.

    Like the 2010 Insight?

Then you've never looked at the 2010 Insight's cargo area. It's a flimsy cardboard-copy of the Prius' false floor and side bin.
