I can DVR my radio - whaaaa?

    Maybe I'm the only one here who hadn't already discovered this, but...just found the time shift features of Prime's 11.6" live radio (pause, rewind, etc.). I'm geeking out right now.

    I have mixed feelings about that.

    In general, I think that more things to potentially distract the driver are BAD things.

    It is a neat feature though.

    That just means you have a digital radio, bit a digital video recorder unless you are watching video while driving :eek:

    Great job of using an inappropriate term and confusing the crap out of some people.
    And then providing a "coded" explanation that does nothing to help.

    There is NOT a DVR in the radio......since the V stands for "video".
    There IS a "playback" buffer that allows you to pause and repeat the audio for a short period of time.

    I think Digital Radio Recorder is a sleeping giant; you'd think some entrepeneur would get the thumb out, and make a killing. Or maybe too late, d u n n o. I'd love to time-shift CBC radio.

    "Like a DVR" would be a simile. But if you want to split hairs, I guess you could argue the subject line is a metaphor ;)
