So for a couple of years I have been looking at different prius models all the time drawing the same conclusion: anything with that mileage is good enough for me. Well, last Saturday was the day...went to the dealership and came home with a black 2011 Prius III with a grand total of 95 miles on it. It's my first new car and couldn't be more pleased with it. The last vehicle I owned was a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, a car that runs like a tank...and unfortunately consumes fuel like it as well. With about the same horsepower as a Prius and a whopping 12mpg...no...I'm not exaggerating...I filled it every 4 days. But anyway, I had to bring it back to the dealership to fix a couple of scratches and just got it back today. This weekend I'm looking to debadge and possibly get window tint done, and I'm looking to get a 10" sub installed soon too...I'll see you guys around!

Assuming you financed, you should be able to make all or most of your new car payment on the fuel savings!

    Congrats.

Congrats! Just keep your badges around in case you want to resell the car. It will have more value the closer it is to stock.

Yea man, its a 10" speaker with a 300rms amp. It's my first true love when it comes to car audio systems...and I've had my fair share.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It's always nice to have more then 1 reply on these intro threads

The Prius is great for bass and stereo systems in general once you fix the rattles. I've downgraded from 1,900w RMS to 900w RMS and a single 12" sub in a vented enclosure. I'd go down to a 10" at this point but I'm tired of spending money. lol

Congrats on the new car. I really like the GenIIIs! My car is still driving like new despite 151,000 miles so I'll keep her a while longer.

Oh yeah, going to be doing this mod soon. I have a big 'ol Hertz HX250 on the way and plan to do the work over Christmas break. Looks like a bit of work but I am up for it.
