I installed my EBH today!

    That is an interesting calculation and a bit discouraging. My electric rate is half again as much, (0.15 per kwh) and my gas prices are now more like $2.75 or so. Gonna take a while to pay for itself at these rates! But, I've already go it installed and man it sure is nice to have instant on heat and defrost. I think of it as the Prius version of a remote starter which many folks that own conventional vehicles here in Vermont use. Also, my commute is just 1.5 miles so the wear and tear issue is quite real for me.

    What maybe, was there to do Don's Prius on the 25th. Beautiful colors too. But I could always make another trip!!
