I need a steering Rack for 2001 Prius

    The pinion nut recall was a one-shot deal. The replacement nut they used had threads that would bite into the shaft so severely to secure it that if it ever did get loose again, there'd be nothing to do but replace the unit. The techs doing the recall didn't even get a second chance if their first try at the repair didn't go right. Some customers went in for the recall and came home with brand new racks on Toyota's nickel for just that reason.
