    The shotgun thoery of quake forcasting just doesn't work for me.
    I am VERY prepared however, just in case

    A staunch Christian coworker and I have decided that we will form a new organization based on stopping the end of times by preparing for the end of times. It works like this:
    Based on the knowledge that the end of times will come when we least expect it, we will take donations to continuously and diligently prepare and plan for it, thereby postponing it forever. By always expecting it and never "least expecting it" the prophesy can never come true.

    By the same reasoning (or lack thereof) the CA earthquake will not occur simply because we expect it to.

    Well, I hope I've cleared that up. :)

    I am generally hopeful the event doesn't occur...

    It can't be that fricken simple...


    I was just using some simplistic models to give the 3 dates that have hit of the 4 that have passed by... I would be floored if this comes to pass... 3 out of 5 is GREAT odds... 4 out of 5... that's not statistically reproducible in the general field of forecasting earthquakes within time-frames of days... much less decades as we out here have been studying Parkfield and the general San Andreas fault zone.


    I already made some coins from friends about it... but I will always lose if I take it to Sin City... I have NEVER won in Vegas... and once, I lost three months pay there... I still had fun, but still, I didn't win while there...

    Reno - Tahoe... OH HELLS YEA... I am several 10's of thousand in the black there... Vegas... is a money hole... sorta like a Corvette...
