had an opportunity to test my sunday morning ride while my wife is in florida, to see if she was causing the ice to come on. the car has been sitting charged in the garage since thursday because of the storm. the ice had not run since last sunday morning. mon, tues and wednesday were all ev for about 75 total miles. it was 37 in the garage and 26 outside. i pulled out and drove a half mile on the flat to burn off some electrons. then i started my route and kept it under 25 mph because there were not any cars behind me. i got beyond the downhill where the ice usually fires and thought it was smooth sailing ahead. so i started to creep upto 40 mph and the ice kicked on around 38 mph. i'm beginning to think it's a combination of sitting for a day without using it, and speed related battery protection.
