Ideal Prius Jack Stand Size

    Going up on ramps is something I haven't done in at least 30 years.

    It always made me nervous: no matter how carefully I lined them up, in the back-of-mind I was thinking about slipping off the sides, or going over the ends. And almost without exception I want to raise the front in the confines of a garage, maybe even when the engine's cooled down.

    So I stick with jack and safety stands, plus wheel chocks fore and aft, on the wheels still on the ground. Whenever practical I also push this big tree trunk section under first, under a solid/strong portion: my safety net in case something goes south.

    I just jack on side for oil changes, that's easy. But for doing the transmission fluid change ramps in the front
    then jacking the rear with stands would be MUCH easier and FASTER!
