I don't have the printout on the serial number identification but basically you look at the 4th letter in the serial number. 1999 was letter A. 2000 letter B....and so forth. Gen 2 started in 2004 with a letter F.

I have 2 bad cells in my pack from a 2005 prius
    starting with 092G Feb 9,2005

I have replacement cells that look like they are out of a 2008
    starting with 13YJ Nov13 2008.

Should I be concerned about the date difference, or just check capacity and if they look close, it should be ok

The dating doesn't really matter that much. But you should recondition all your modules afterwards. If you are only going to do a module swap.....then the repair won't last as long as many of the modules will be out of balance.

I am in the process of testing and conditioning the pack on another thread

but when I looked up the dates, I was a bit concerned. I will see how they compare. I am hoping they will be close

There are many factors in the way a battery module will perform. It's not just the date. We've seen packs here with modules from 2003-2012....all in the same pack and the pack lasted an amazing 18 months.
