if the prime had a full size hatch, i'd probably already own one. but that's probably not a tesla feature.
if it had the ford feature of letting you dig into the battery when you need just a bit more to reach your destination, that would be tempting.

Is it just me or does that Tesla light show remind you of this? ;)

I suppose, but I'm essentially on autopilot driving an hour each way in moderate traffic on the freeway anyways. I think an autopilot system would actually be a split second faster than me when traffic suddenly slows down and I need that (not even a split) second for my brain to snap out of the dazed state to go "whoa, those cares in front are larger very fast - they must be stopped," then communicate it to my feet start braking. The car's software will be paying attention 100% of the time, but the brain won't.

If autopilot didn't detect that, you would be slower both due to waiting for autopilot and due to your lack of attention.

    That's basically how this happened:

I long for the day when the software is nearly perfect and I can just go to sleep, but by then I'll likely be retired and not allowed to drive anymore either.

Here's another video but the autopilot works this time. The system works great as long as the driver doesn't rely on it. Also, how do people know if autopilot is engaged if they were never even in the Tesla. This was just a dash cam from another car.

I know it was in the video I posted because I found where the driver of that car posted on Reddit about the accident.

You probably think I hate Tesla or Elon or electric cars or electric vehicles or something.

The reality of the situation is likely so far from what you think, you aren't even in the same universe.

I'd hate to see how you talk about things you truly dislike then.

If people want to find one-off videos of bad things happening in any car, they can.
I can show you a video of a "unintended acceleration" event with an officer in control of a Prius.
What is important is the rate of these events.
The autopilot equipped Tesla vehicle have a lower rate of accidents than those without. That is what it comes down to.

Has nothing to do with like or dislike, just reality.

Maybe you could try to understand the point I was making when I posted that video. The text I wrote with it might give you a clue:

I was pointing out an incident where a regular, alert driver allowed autopilot to hit a stationary object in near-ideal conditions because the fact that autopilot was operating slowed the response of the driver. In other words, my post was about just what I said it was about - autopilot slowing driver response.
