If you could pick one President from the past to be President today, who would it be?

True to form, just like he did with the Japanese, FDR would round up every every resident of the US west of the Mississippi, citizen or not, who was of Arab descent, and lock them up in a concentration camp. Hard to say really isn't it? They all ruled under a different set of circumstances globally and domestically.

 

FDR or Lincoln, two of the better presidents, they would both bring us back to reality.

None for current president. Now, if we could change the PREVIOUS president, I'd say give Clinton another two terms.

 

Unemployment was lower when Carter left office than when he took office. In fact job growth was faster during his administration than during any Republican president.

 

Whatever happened to old Squidly? Oh, yeah, I think he got banned. He was a character, I'll say that for him.

As for presidents, I'd say President Obama has a better chance of moving the country in a positive direction than anyone else on the political landscape right now, or any of our past presidents.

But if this thread must be revived, it ought to be moved to FHOPol.

 

i have to agree in part. i dont any past president could rally us better simply because communication is better. more voices from more points of view than ever before in history.
