They are going to be released January 4th for the SF Region... but we are going to have one early to show off... No drives or anything though...

They won't even let us drive it!

    Hi Danny,

I've been Googling for a while and had not luck finding a reference for the new horsepower calculation beyond two papers discussing plug-hybrid operation. The problem is the plug-in calculations were somewhat obscure as the papers were more concerned about other aspects.

Could you ask your sources for a reference to how the '121 hp' is either calculated or measured?

    Thanks,
    Bob Wilson

    Danny,
So that is what you look like without red hair :)
Quick question. In one of the threads, it said there was a button to disable the traction control system. On your drive, did you
see such a button ? Thanks for the great pictures and videos.

A bit off topic, but .....

VW diesel enthusiast have long touted the diesel is nearly as fuel efficient as the Prius.

Amid VW's emissions cheating fiasco, VW executives are now saying the fix is "manageable."
It will be interesting to see what the trade-off will be. I assume VW cheated to elevate the fuel efficiency numbers. To make the emissions "work," they may need to make hardware and software changes that will lower the overall fuel efficiency, else why would they have cheated?

It will be interesting to watch.

when you put it in reverse, it takes a few seconds for the screen to show the rearview camera. kind of a pain, when you want to start backing up right away. what are you driving?

I don't notice a delay with backup camera image in rear view mirror, guess it's just with the MFD.
