The extended warranty has been discussed at length on other threads. The one offered here is the same Toyota written one offered at the other dealers. Their sales pitch is only a scare tactic. Turn it around on them. Say, "If you won't honor the warranty bought from another dealer what happens if I need warranty work while out of town? Won't that dealer refuse to honor your warranty?"

IMHO the extended warranty isn't worth it. My reply is, "If the car is so poorly built and unreliable that I need to buy the extended warranty, then I shouldn't buy the car."
