Well, I've been warming up to the new Prius, making positive posts, and I think it is / will be a fantastic car for legions of owners, but I just can't move forward considering it. All I can do is call Toyota and give feedback for the next generation and have another look in x years.

Hmm, never heard of PriOptimus, nor has google.

    Rav4 not for me.
I really want to like and get the gen4 and last year tried out the HyCam a lot, but it is what it is, no can do.

Not going to fling around what I'm considering.

I remember first seeing the Gen 2 (or might have been Gen 3) - and I thought - what an odd looking car.

But today, they look quite normal. Many other makes and models have gone oddball (Lexus & Audi grilles, Toyota noses and tails, & other Ugly renditions etc), and randomly stuck DRLs - make Gen 3 quite unobtrusive.

I've seen 2 Gen 4s, both white in dealer's yards. My first thought is, I'd really like to see this in red or blue - I reckon it wouldn't look so starkly odd.

My motto, when I'm in a conundrum: just sit tight, do nothing for a bit. Maybe 5~6 years, lol.

Yes, it was a stupid mash-up of Prius Prime (rumored PiP2?) and Optimus Prime (one of the Transformers that used to be my son's favorite). Sorry,

I thought the G2 was a putrid pile of turd when it first came out. (n) When G3 came, I was like, "How the hell did Toyota manage to make it look uglier?" Now, I own both. The cycle continues, the G4? Yeah, it's another level beyond putrid ugly. I'll probably own one in a few years.

Meh, I don't like where Honda Civic styling is going. It looks like it's about to morph into an Accord, so bulky, for starters. And I'm really starting to hate the collective mindset prevalent in automotive "stylists" (the only word for it), that front "bumper" is a ridiculous exercise in useless excess. They're all into it, sadly.

Toyota seats - Prius / Corolla / Camry / Rav4 not my cup of tea**. Similar thing happened with motorcycle helmets: never fit into top brand Arai, but another top brand Shoei fit me like glove. C'est la vie. Honda seems to be the Shoei ***

** Avalon / Highlander Llimited seats nice but $$$. I'd guess most with bit shorter legs than me, more beef on hips might be cool with Toyota seats. Obviously many like.

*** to bisco, the '11 Accord Coupe had narrow, no tilt seat and last 2 door I'll buy
