Importing a Prius Camper?

    Posting here because I have no idea where else.

    So I got it in my head that one of those weird funny looking Prius Campers by Campinn in Japan would be a nifty thing to get, because frankly I lived in my gen 2 for 6 months and it was too small to really do anything but sleep at night in, and even then it was cramped.

    Problem is, all the import sites I've looked at only list the basic vehicle, nevermind anything so specialized as a Prius Camper. Does anyone here have any ideas where I could start?

    I don't think you'll be able to import a finished JDM model due to the 25-year rule.

    You might be able to get Car Taka to sell you a kit to convert your Prius.

    I think the 25 year import rule is for models that are not sold in the US. So a Prius would be exempt because it's also sold here.

    Unfortunately I don't speak Japanese and wouldn't know how to contact Car Taka for an import.
