Increasing Storage In A Prius......no trunk!

That's why my wife likes sedans, the idea of a locked trunk.
I always force her to go with minivans/wagons/ and lift backs, against her better judgement.
To my knowledge, I do not recall too much discussion on how to improve security.

Note that Gen4 no longer has the false floor.

 

Sometimes a trunk isn't all that secure. A lot of smaller sedans have rear seats that fold down like ours in order to accommodate larger items in the trunk area. In the last 5 or so years, different friends with different sedans both had things stolen from their trunks. The thieves simply accessed the trunk by getting into the passenger cabin and then folding down the rear seats.
