    Mind control signals coming from the wife, are an inherent cost of having a wife.

    The mind control signals coming through the radio and TV are much more easily blocked. Unfortunately, most people just replace them with control signals coming from this "internet" thingy.

    Advertisers have put vast resources and effort into figuring out how to bypass the critical thinking portions of human brains, and get them to buy based on emotions or insecurities or vanities. They are way ahead of us, so avoiding or reducing exposure to them is an important part of consumer defense.
