    If the kit is designed for non-JBL, then the wiring interface will not be plug-n-play with the JBL. CygnusX1...call Alpine to see if they have a simple work around. As you know the car wiring is completely different even if you gut the system first and replace it.

    I don't mean to derail this thread, but Alpine does have a work around it is called their universal mount (or something like that). Maybe when the time comes to upgrade, I will see if I can just buy the face plate part of the kit. Who know if I don't ask. But I won't be doing this until probably next year I just bought the car and have other projects that I set aside because I needed a vehicle.
