I have this on my 2013 Prius v and it does help in power, mainly in the "PWR" mode. (I don't know if you have that console "PWR" button on a C.)

Has the magnaflow made your car louder by an annoying amount? I like the extra power the injen intake gives me, but it does have a level of attention grabbyness about it. I'm also in CA so it's a bit trickier with what I'm allowed to have on there.
Regarding the magnaflow, is that a part you modified to work with/on the C? Or something that is made specifically for the C? Im having problems finding it. I'm not really a car guy so I'm new to car parts and what's interchangeable as well.

Not too loud. In fact even if you made a straight pipe axle back the c would still fly under the ca dB codes. Mine is a custom made axle back. The muffler must be tiny. Most any yaris hatchback exhaust will fit near perfectly.

And yes, go a few pages back and check my videos.

Comes with instructions and needs very few "tools" could take as little as 10 minutes to install.

I just installed it and it's really easy. There is a noticeable amounts of power and it does make the engine sound louder especially at WOT. I don't mind the sound at all. Tomorrow I will be testing it out more on the highway. I'm happy with it so far

Do I really need to disconnect battery for this?

I didn't disconnect the battery and everything is just fine. I still have to record the sound the Injen CAI makes at WOT and post it

I am actually thinking about getting a Yaris turbo kit ;)

ECU is programmed to run with low intake vacuum (-1-2psi), so it would be on boost 90% of the time.

do you thing 5psi would be safe to run on 13.4 compression engine?

    Don't do it. No, it isn't safe...not on 91 octane...not really on 93 either.

It'd work but it's hard to turbo a hybrid drivetrain. Building boost just to turn the i.c.e. off and on.

    SM-N910T ?

Okay, I finally received the Injen today and I'm confused about the install. The pictures are really dark so I can't see exactly what I'm supposed to do in some of the pictures. For figure 6-7 - what is the VSV valve and what is the crank case line? Anyone have clearer pics of these? Figure 10 - no idea what I'm supposed to do there. Can't see...

Thanks all. I'm a complete newb at car stuff and was hoping to do this myself...

vsv valve is connected to that plastic box and remains connected, you'll want to zip tie that connection. then, secure the dangling whole unit to the nearby hose w/ provided long zip tie.

Crank case line is disconnected from stock rubber intake tube and gets reconnected to injen's tube's little pipe sticking out, there's stock metal pinch to secure.

And, make sure to connect your air mass plastic plate off stock intake to injen then plug in your air mass sensor harness...

    that's about it.

    Hey all,

I got stuck on step 6 - pulling back the VSV valve. There seems to be some kind of "knob" attaching it to the intake tube. It's coned shaped. I couldn't figure out how to get it off and didn't want to break anything. Attached a picture of it. Thanks for the help!

it pulls out by force. pull hard or wedge a flat screw driver into the cone side...

Does the cone part detach from the valve or does that come right through the hole?

looks like it's something to come through the hole and not detach? i've tried pulling hard and using a screwdriver between the small gap i was able to create.... but the entire vsv valve moves around and it's all rubber tubing, i can't get enough straight word force to pull the dumb thing out without me feeling like i'm going to break it all apart...

so frustrating! any other tips? there's gotta be some sort of trick to this that i'm missing...
