The OP's article is talking about Insight sales in the United Kingdom.

The Insight is leading hybrid sales in the UK and Japan, not LA. The Prius still rules hybrid sales in the USA.

the 2010 Prius is not yet released... even the special priority orders are just now arriving at port.

I don't know if the insight released their price data first and made their buying options avail first but if so, that will explain why the first month shows wacky numbers.
Once they both are up and running we will see the true story.

But I do think there is less of a market for the higher dollar stuff.

Its hard to compare when you say, "there are more 200,000.00 houses selling than 300,000.00.. because the market is different in that price range.

Well year to date, Honda has sold less than 3000 Insights in the USA. That would make it pretty rare.

They would love to get media attention for being a prius clone.... as many customers who don't know the difference would go for it.

Obvious this guy didn't do his homework nor knows what he's talking about.
If he would have just typed "honda insight history" into google he would have gotton this.

And his chart shows both the insight and the prius "equal" in fuel efficiency??? What gives with that?

Whats he mean by "new direction" .. He must not be aware there was ever an "insight" before because isn't this one very close to the prior?.. maybe I need to do more study on the insight cause something doesn't add up here.
And did he mean "clone" or "wanna be?".. if he's gonna start twisting things and comparing with the prius, he needs to be ready for some reality checks.
