There's a guy in an old Cadillac, drives by my house 3 times a week. He has a "Train Horn" on that car. He must be signaling someone around here because he always blows it! And every time I hear it, I jump.

But I'm ok with it. I grew up in a house that had a rail-road crossing right behind it. EVERY DAY, loud bells and train horns. :)

FIAMM horns arrived today, and installation complete. It is LOUD! Much better.

    BUT... here's my gripes.

I could barely get my hands/wrists in there! Took me over an hour. Cussing all the way...

Needed a 12 mm socket or wrench to get the nut off the factory horn bracket. (10 mm to tighten the FIAMM nut).

Horns did not fit in the space, if using the stock factory brackets. I tried every which way but loose! How the heck did you fit them in there?! I tried facing front, facing back, upside down... I finally had to remove the stock brackets, and use the FIAMM bracelets supplied. Then it was easy.

The factory plug does not attach all that good to the FIAMM horn connector. It slides on, but it didn't "click on" like it did to the factory horn.

And last, how do I get the clips to SNAP back into the plastic cover? The cover is on correctly, but the clips are kinda loose.
    Thanks.

    Good for you.
the clips are closed when flush along the top. Pushing the center beyond flush loosens them. I used the stock brackets, just needed the supplied nuts. One caution that I listened to was to make sure the openings of the new horns pointed down, so that no water could get trapped in them. If it were to rain in SoCal.

Thanks Kevin. My clips are flush, but still loose. They didn't seem to snap back in very good. I'll check again. And yes, I have the horn funnel(?) facing down... almost. :D I had to turn it a certain way in order for the plug to attach.

And how on God's Green Earth did you fit the horns in there using the stock brackets?!?!?!??? I tried in front of the bracket, behind the bracket.... every way. If they are installed correctly, which way is the red cover facing? Towards the engine, or towards the front grill? (Don't laugh.)

I wish I could remember. And now I don't want to take my clips out again to see - they may not re-install well.

Yeah, I wish they were small threaded screws. That plastic is cheap. I got them back in, but they are not as tight as before. You have to "unlock" it, put it in the hole, and then gently press the center button back down.

And one of mine is missing. I don't think it was there to begin with. I have an extra hole. I wonder if the dealer lost it during the inspection and oil change.

It should fit fine. I didn't have much trouble and thats weird that you had to use a 12mm. I only used a 10mm. I need to turn the open downwards hahaha. Thanks for the advice.

I think they are big upgrade compared to a compact beep beep. It sounds like a Chevy Suburban instead of a Prius.

I was pleasantly surprised. But $3.00 for a .10 cent item, why not?

My whole plastic piece is loose now. Those clips suck! I tried to find a short, fat, big-headed screw to self tap into that hole....

How do you think it would get wet from rain? I'm more concerned when I wash the car, and spray water towards the grill.

It's a great sounding horn. Like a Cadillac! Thanks for recommending it. One last dumb question... Does it matter which one goes on the right, and which on the left?
