Instrument cluster malfunction fixed. Combination Meter

Newly acquired 2007 Prius , under 100K. symptoms included , intermittent Instrument cluster going blank, and energy meter also affected, also unable to remove fob/key at times.
I noticed several folks do a DIY and replace one or two components on the electronic board. This is an endorsement only. I am NOT affiliated with these gents, I found them on Yelp, google KlaxonPro, they are located in Los Angeles. It was worth my 55 mile drive to get to them. I was in and out in 1.5 hrs, they changed out 13 components on my board, not just one or two, lifetime guarantee for $160. I was going to attempt the fix myself, but,,,,who has the time. The owner and several other staff own Prius's , they also rebuild batteries and know this model inside and out. Again, I am a new owner and this worked for me for a relatively small amount of money considering the hassle of dash removal.
