Just to clarify, the Toyota -Dealers- have nothing to do with the website where you "build and price". That's the national Toyota outfit (Toyota US, Toyota Canada, etc). But most if not all dealers also have their own websites, and I find them pretty bad too. ;)

My guess is everyone is still migrating to the net, and we're not all there yet!

I hope the Prius group in California sees this and takes note. Of course they may just not have had the correct picture on file, and it's pretty expensive to bring the photographer back in to take it. Hence the caption "vehicles offered may not be exactly as shown". ;)

I was quoted $280 (all in) for one (1) Gen 3 foglight assembly so multiply that by 2 for the two assemblies and some wires. The bloody grey plastic holder/surround is already $90.

That's why I'm going for the Prius 3 with the ATP. I'm not a big fan of leather seats but want the moon roof and the HUD

Can the GPS be shown in the HUD?

The turn instructions do project into the HUD.

Unfortunately leather seats in the US were out in 2012. 2011 was the last real recycled dead cow skin in a regular Prius. Europe for some reason can get real recycled dead cow skin. Love the smell of dead cow in the morning.

Dead cow is really cold in winter mornings and sticky in summer (at least my little experience with leather seats and couches) ;).... and to have a "eco car" with a dead animal inside is a bit weird - I am surprised they sell it like this still in EU... I mean, recycled plastic and from vegetable sources and all, and then dead cows on the seats.... uh???

If the real leather is coming from poor, "third world" country, chances are its production is very toxic and polluting. :(

I simply don't want a dead animal in a "green" car - it is utter nonsense...and there are materials that are far better than leather that don't require animals suffering and potential polluting methods to fabricate, as you mention.

Softex is great. Though I often wonder about those who, while eating their steak, complain about those liking leather whatevers. ;)

Efficient use of the carcass of our food. :)

I agree with you about some people being hypocrite about such things. Like those who are revolted by people eating dogs, like as if cows pigs and poultry don't deserve to be treated with the same respect.

I eat the least possible meat and dairy products, and when, I try to eat bio and from farms respecting and treating animals the best possible. Also because I think only meat from animals that have had a happy non stressful healthy life Is meat with nutritional value. I also buy either synthetic or vegetable based clothing and shoes.
    And
So on my gen4 there is unfortunately a leather covered steering wheel standard, I cannot get rid of. And I cannot or want the lower basic trim as it misses a lot of important features.

Is the Gen 4 offered in SofTex in Germany?

On models with SofTex, the SofTex that covers the steering wheel better maintains temperature, feeling neither too hot nor too cold compared to a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
