What's the reason for wanting to disable them? They are a great feature. You could take the bulb out and try it, but I don't think you will get an error message. I replaced mine with LED projectors and one of them packed up recently, but I didn't get a warning so it looks as though they are not connected to the bulb failure warning system.

If you leave the door open all the interior lights automatically extinguish after about 10 mnutes.

I don't think there is any warning for the interior lights.

It would be nice to have a warning for the headlights, tail lights, and brake lights. Most people never walk around their car and do a light inspection.

I would be surprised (disappointed!!) if there wasn't a warning for those lights - if my VOLVO did in 1980, I reckon TOYOTA would have caught up with it by now - but I'm sure I saw it on a quite old CAMRY, and LEXUS has it.

But - looking in the manual, it doesn't specifically say so.

No indicator on my 1995 Camry. ☹️
No indicator on my 2005 Camry. ☹️
No indicator on my 2016 Prius. ☹️

The left brake light on the 2005 Camry would go out about six times per year.

I've noticed at a nearby Honda dealership the showroom cars always have the 12 volt battery negative lead disconnected.

Did you need to get the dealer to fix the switch, so that the lights come on with the door opening? Or did you fix it yourself? I'm having the same problem on my newly acquired 2017 Prius. Thanks.
