If the Blizzard Brigade assembled in a snow storm, would anyone see them? Would anyone care?:D

There's nothing stopping you from starting a red prius posse, or a blue bystanders group.

I'm just saying, the blizzard brigade enjoys being sexier than all other prius colors

You really think BP can compete with the deep rich hue of Salsa Red Pearl? Bah!

One of the reasons I gave up on dark colors. I've had 7 black cars over the years and they looked great when clean and polished, but were a real labor of love to keep them that way.
Silver and Gold are the most forgiving, but the Blizzard Pearl isn't too bad.....

Agreed. If I were to get a new Prius I would seriously consider BP or white. I usually hate red cars but this was all they had when I purchased mine. My GM cars (6) were all either blue or grey and my Mustangs (2) were all white. :)

    Hey F8L,

Your car looks great and is obviously well taken care of!

I've only owned 1 red car, and it always looked great throughout the 5 years that I'd owned it.
In the long run, though, isn't red most prone to fading-even with the newer clear coats? I've been out of the auto/detailing biz for 20 years so I'm just going by past experience.

    Thanks, Dan. :)

Yes, red is still the most prone to fading. Oddly enough mine has not really faded despite living outside of a garage all of its life. The headlights did yellow over though. I created a new post in the GenII Care section on restoring them. I'm sure if I ever got around to buffing the paint out and polishing it the glow would be brighter like in the picture above (the car was fairly new when that pic was taken) but when it is clean the paint still looks like new except for the frontal area. The hood and bumper cover has been trashed by rocks and road debris. Someday when I can afford it I will remove them and have them repainted. Then I will install Clear-Bra protection!!!

White is my favorite color in terms on maintenance and longevity.

Salsa red is a cute color, but yes, bp can compete. It's taken two generations of prii and scion to try to match up the awesomeness of bp ;)

I think Toyota just ran out of good ideas and threw a bunch of colors into a jar and made BP. :p

The only option that my beloved company paid for my G3-II.
BWP! (I'm still stunned that they didn't just order 500 G3-I's in flat white....)

    That's pretty cool:cool:

I've NEVER seen one of those around here.

I guess our northeastern AT&T guys haven't updated theirs yet.

Odd that they'd have gone the extra $$ for the BP, as it's a more expensive fix when/if the car gets damaged. Plain ol' Frigidaire white is a LOT easier to spot in (although the clearcoat complicates matters either way....)

I think they just wanted to get some white (green) vehicles on the road quickly, and the local supplier only had BWP. "Big Phone" always manages to have dollars falling out of their pockets while bending over to pick up a penny.

I tried to get them to use Corvettes and Camaros for fleet vehicles to emphasize network speed (the Prius is probably more appropriate for that... :( ) However (comma) my request fell on deaf ears.
My G3 is a $25,000 placard to attach a "Green Technology" sticker to.
could have been worse. I’m actually glad I’ve gotten to know “my†Prius better…mostly….;)

Due to the significant difference in price I really wanted to like the Honda. I test drove 6 different ones at 4 different dealers to give a fair trial.
Road and wind noise were off the charts compared to the Prius, along with many resonances and rattles/drumming sounds at different speeds on different surfaces. Not to mention the sluggish accelleration (compared to the Prii in ECO mode)
I have to admit, the steering feel and handling were quite a bit better than our Prii, but it was a lot less car for somewhat less money.
Much as I b*tch about rattles and such on my Prius, it's the fact that it's so much quieter otherwise that these things are so easily noticed.

(sorry, that reply just crossed 3 other discussion threads)

MPGs, technology and interior room kept me away from the Insight.
