    Hey guys,

My first post and introduction to this forum. Just picked up a Prius 3 a week ago and loving every mile in it!

Just got her tinted on Wednesday with 23% all around and the clear bra installed yesterday. Went on to installing interior LEDs but was having a hard time removing the panel right above the driver and front passenger. Searched the forums but there wasn't a clear DIY or how to other than just pull... any additional input in removing that panel would be greatly appreciated!

And of course the obligatory picture :)

    Thanks,

    -Pat

    Hey Pat,

I just installed LED cabin lights last month. Found good instructions someplace on the internet. BLUF: Start fro the windshield (front) edge. Pull down on the front edge of the front plastic panel. It'll unsnap. Then grab the front edge of the remaining (main) plastic panel with the light housings. Pull down GENTLY and JUST A Li'l BIT. The front will unsnap and hang down. The rear has two more snaps and also two rear-facing rails that hold the panel snug to the ceiling. Adjust the rear view mirror to look into the cavity from the front (get a flashlight to help). You'll see where the two rear snaps are. Pull gently so one snap lets go, then rotate to get the other snap clear (the pane has u-shaped snap slots here rather than round holes like in the front snaps). Then gently pull panel forward to the windshield and down until the rails disengage. All that's left is disconnecting the power plug. The light bulbs are easily reached and replaced from the topside (underside) of the panel. Reverse steps to reassemble. This reads longer than actually doing it. Good luck!
