Manufacturers have history of denying that a problem is on their end, and blame it on the customer, at times.
Honda and the Civic hybrid batteries.
Toyota and their sludgy 4 cylinders.
I'm sure there are examples for all the makes out there.

the transmission is not part of the hybrid warranty, isn't it the most hybrid part of the vehicle?

That would fall under drive train warranties.
The hybrid battery falls under the mandated emission system one.

Did you read fine print on your lifetime warranty...battery degradation is not covered and you don't actually have full power train life time warranty .....
    And for oil burning.....
Let's see how is getting Hyundai with age
Remember that here are people that report only issues..versus how many people are doing just fine...without oil issues.....
    No hard feelings.....
And saying that in owners manual only Toyota state oil consumption...then it looks like you really didn't have read or have a lot of car's in your life....
Now let me give you some explanation....
Be cause combustion engines are what I do for living....
    All engines consume oil....
One you can't see on oil dipstick is tar and washout of carbon inside combustion chambers......

Any Car that call for oil changes 10 000+ miles will show oil consumption.....
And this is normal otherwise if you see no change in oil consumption....what you see oil that is contamination from Carbon build that oil also have to wash out and keep engines clean....not only just to keep lubrication part
Different scenarios will show different results
If you do hard acceleration with Engine that is cold it will result in oil consumption.....
To see just how much contamination you have in oil after oil change....save your last used oil and let it seating for 30-40 days and look for yourself
