Although 49 CFR interpretations of the related 16 CFR does not require the owner to use WS, unless it is supplied by the manufacturer for free under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty and Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975, as amended, I would still use WS during the warranty period, so that Toyota has no excuse to deny and to refuse reimbursement.

I put a like on that for the bold stuff. The rest just confuses me, above my pay scale.

Also, I'd stick with Toyota ATF WS whenever, I'm not a mechanical engineer, haven't a clue, so I'll go with Toyota's guidance.

Toyota’s guidance is you buy a new big expensive coal roller so they can make more service profit from you.

Not all Toyota guidance is in the owner's manual. They also guide on what vehicle to purchase. For example they will not sell @alanclarkeau a Prime because they have determined Aussies are not interested in Plugin Hybrids.

At least in the US, Toyota does not sell any diesels, so show me the 'guidance'

I just changed my fluid again due to the drive axle change, can someone remind me again exactly how much should fit in there cause I just dumped in the 4 qts this time, but as soon as I get my original driveshaft re-done I should fill it right.
BTW if you live in the LA area if you can order online at totoyota.com and pick it up its like 7 something a qt. But they won't ship it hazardous goods or something.
There is no way for me to jack this thing up level so I will have to fill by measure.

    PS: that's online price only
