Thought of the Day:

God Said NO!

I hope that you can get the effects on your computers! The words are great, but the movements of the faces add a lot....

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you. < /STRONG>

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY
May God Bless You,

"To the world you might be one person,
But to one person you just might be the world"
"May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever"

"Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.

Good thoughts priusguy, some are hard to understand till you've been through it.

Well this thread has finally settled down...... LOL!

Lets talk about something thats "not" simple scripture.... that will freak everybody out!... LOL!

I will however use scripture to substantiate a few thoughts.

I am going to only "touch" on many points to stir your appetite!

I have studied the word of God quite a while now.... and I don't stick with "what everybody else studies",
in private time in prayer... I get revelation that scares me!......God teaches and answers questions and speaks and gives glimpses of whats to come and what has happened.

By speaking this I realize I am being totally vulnerable to scorn and redicule, but Its worth it for those who will bear witness with some of the things I say.

I had no intention of writing all this, but I just kinda popped out.... I tend to take that to mean I am supposed to share it.... Its for somebody out there that needs to hear it.....

If you can follow me here.... you will get some hints as to "why" God has formed us in frailty that we may be made higher than the angels and be one with him in his heart... something the Angels don't have.

I hope to instill faith and hope by revealing and speaking of things you rarely hear over a pulpit.
What I am about to share.. I feel God gave me and some of it has been confirmed by others and other parts ... I have never heard uttered by other speakers.
This is not learned from a seminary......

So many have requested for me to just talk from my heart and not simply quote scripture... so here goes. You asked for it!!!
-----------------
First of all... we have already endured things the Angels have never been subjected to in their present state of power and strength.

We who have served God from out standpoint of frailty will be afforded rewards and postion never offered to the angels.

(1 Cor 6:2 NKJV) Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
(1 Cor 6:3 NKJV) Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

Wow!!!!.....

Have you ever wondered "why" God made some of the things the way he did?

*****Doesn't it just "stink" that we are made is such a fashion that we have to go through hell to get to heaven?

For the sake of others, I will mention.... thats not literal, but you know what I mean.......

I was talking about intelligence a while back... God loves your intelligence when subjected, trained and disciplined under his tutor and not trusted in.... however it can be the enemy of God when under control of man.

(Rom 8:5 NKJV) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
(Rom 8:6 NKJV) For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(Rom 8:7 NKJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
(Rom 8:8 NKJV) So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

(Rom 8:9 NKJV) But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
(Rom 8:10 NKJV) And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Definition of the Carnal Mind here

But by the same token God can use our intelligence for Him when quickened by the Holy Sprit and under its authority, even so our free will of choice will make us more like God than the Angels ever thought about being.

Now.. lets to get to the point!.... Is it real that God has and will share some of his mysteries and secrets?
He promised in the last days he would reveal and open revelations!

God could have made us without all the vulnerablities of flesh and life would have been a utopia!.... The error in the Garden would have never happened and no man would ever be destined to Hell.
In fact Hell was made for the Devil.. not for man per se.
(Mat 25:41 NKJV) "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

I know.. I'm blowing the minds of many already.... but I'm just getting warmed up!

What do I mean?... this is where I break away from clear scripture you hear in everyday church and delve into some juicy stuff most have never considered.... let along hear in their favorite bible study or sunday school class!.. however I will substantiate with scripture that is nevertheless subject to godly interpretation.

The Angels have a will too, but it is in total subjection to God....I have often wondered if Man will take a step further than the Angels by ruling an reigning with Jesus by executing his authority making decisions and ruling over areas of the earth.

The bible does teach that heaven will come down to earth for a period and there will be those who live on earth and others who have access to go to and fro from Heaven or the "new Jerusalem"

(Rev 3:12 NKJV) "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

(Rev 21:2 NKJV) Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
(Rev 21:3 NKJV) And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
(Rev 21:4 NKJV) "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Bride?... we are the bride of Christ?... tabernacle of God?.. . We are his tabernacle?...

Just what does this mean?

(1 Cor 3:16 NKJV) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

(2 Cor 6:16 NKJV) And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people."

Now to blow your mind just a bit furthur..... remember the prayer Jesus prayed that we would be one with Him and his Father?....even as Jesus and his Father were one?.... Wow!..... its this an addition to the trinity?.... sacrilage!..... certainly it couldn't be could it?... then what is it?

(John 17:20 NKJV) "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
(John 17:21 NKJV) "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
(John 17:22 NKJV) "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
(John 17:23 NKJV) "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Just how much more elevated will we be above the angels?

Just what does "being the Bride of Christ" really mean?..... we are engrafted as family as Jesus is Son.. so we are children or his bride as He is King and we are his Queen?

What does it all really mean??????

Their job right now is to tend to our affairs in God and fullfill Gods word throughout the earth.

(Heb 1:13 KJV) But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
(Heb 1:14 KJV) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Look at what honor we have that the angels don't even get to participate in?

(1 Pet 1:12 NKJV) To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit heaven; things which angels desire to look into.

Please bear with me on scripture... to adequately do this study.. we need about 10 hours of classes ."as in 10 weeks!"..with homework!!

this is only a teaser and a glimpse. Maybe this will answer allot of questions about things... and raise some more I'm sure!

(Rom 8:15 NKJV) For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
(Rom 8:16 NKJV) The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
(Rom 8:17 NKJV) and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
(Rom 8:18 NKJV) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
(Rom 8:19 NKJV) For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
(Rom 8:20 NKJV) For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
(Rom 8:21 NKJV) because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(Rom 8:22 NKJV) For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
(Rom 8:23 NKJV) Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

someone accused me of being insane a while back in the other thread about "Down to the Rapture" for looking forward to the end of the world..... but that last scripture helps explain a little of that feeling.

God has so much in store for us.... getting to heaven is only a minor tiny slice of the reward that awaits us!!!... the position and authority will will carry will be mind boggling.

Walking in diving health here on earth and prosperity and joy is indeed our rights, but its a battle and its not always fun... but its always glorious unless we "don't fight"!

Gods people have always endured pain and persection, but God has always put something in thier heart that was bigger than the situation at hand. God delivered many, and others were eaten by tigers, jailed, stoned, etc...... nevertheless, God always took what was mean't for evil and turned it for good.

The devil tries to counterfiet that by using suicide bombers and maryters. to inflame and propel thier cause.

Nevertheless... Hell is a very sad place to go when God has prepared soooo much for us for eternity!....

For those who have just been reading this thread and have never seen any meat and potatoes writings concerning prophecy and the events of the last days....
here is some interesting readings... to stir some interest.... know one knows the exact details but nevertheless.. good reading.
Be prepared for a serious Bible study if you want want to substantiate or discount the info as its allot of information.

If there are people out there that love to consider the possiblities and use thier mind and break away from the simple basics.. the bible is "crammed" full of little hints about creation etc.

Its always good to see something besides pure opinions from people who may or may not have a clue about prophetic writings.... even the experts do not agree on all points.. but several things are agreed on.. the last days are here and upon us very soon based on Bible prophecy!

There are also tons if interesting speculation as well as posibilities to consider... .like:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/6476/sonsofGod.html

Matt 12:43-45 shows us that demons do take up residence in physical bodies. This may infer that at one time they had physical bodies and, being deprived of them though some judgment of God, they try to satisfy their desire for a physical existence by indwelling physical bodies.

have you ever noticed fallen Angels never try to inhabit a body?.. because they already have one!....

Why did Satan want his angels to have relations with women? Apparently to create a mixed race, part human, part angel, which would have interfered with the plan of God to send a second Adam (Christ) born of the seed of woman. God had to exterminate almost all of those alive at the time to assure that Satan's infection of the human race with his demons did not prevent the Messiah from coming.

I should let this thread die, but....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Mar 9 2007, 09:21 PM) </div>
Your problem here Daniel is your lack of the proper understanding of "righteous", as God considers someone righteous. Being righteous does NOT require you to be PERFECT. God realizes though that we are still going to have lapses in judgement, as in Lot's case, and can be proved by the fact that the angels did in fact step in and handle the situation properly. Lot actually showed several lapses in good judgement, first in choosing the land that looked really good, but put him in close contact with the Sodomites. And then, we see that later he had moved to right outside the city, and again even later he lived inside the city, placing himself and his family in moral danger. Perhaps he had good intentions, as there were many enemies of Sodom, and he perhaps thought that the city would offer some protection. (It did not, as seen by the account of the kings who raided Sodom and took Lot, his family, and all his belongings captive, causing Abraham to have to come to his rescue). His poor judgement continued even when the angels came to tell him to flee, and they actually had to DRAG Lot and his family outside the city. However, God saw Lot's heart, and saw that Lot was well-intentioned. He always tried to do what was right in God's eyes, and kept himself morally clean. That's all God asks, not perfection, not never making a mistake, as Satan would have us believe that God asks. Overall, Lot led a life that showed that he WANTED to do what was right and pleasing in God's eyes, so it was counted to him as righteousness.
So, again you have trouble separating ACCOUNTS in the Bible from actual COMMANDS from God. Paul said "For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction", and sometimes that instruction includes what NOT to do.

I think you are confused again in your Bible history. I believe that you are actually thinking of Jephthah:
"Then Jeph′thah made a vow to Jehovah and said: “If you without fail give the sons of Am′mon into my hand, it must also occur that the one coming out, who comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the sons of Am′mon, must also become Jehovah’s, and I must offer that one up as a burnt offering.†- (Judges 11:30,31 NWT)
Some critics and scholars have condemned Jephthah for his vow, having the view that Jephthah followed the practice of other nations, offering up his daughter by fire as a human burnt offering. But this is not the case. It would be an insult to God, a disgusting thing in violation of his law, to make a literal human sacrifice. He strictly commanded Israel: “You must not learn to do according to the detestable things of those nations. There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire . . . For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.†(De 18:9-12 NWT)
So, why would Jephthah deliberately violate one of God's primary commandments, and promise to offer up his daughter? Well, if you really analyze it, the answer is fairly obvious by what he actually DID do. Like Hannah and her husband Elkanah, who dedicated their son Samuel to work in the temple sanctuary, Jephthah evidently brought his daughter to the sanctuary, which was in Shiloh at that time, and he undoubtedly accompanied his presentation of her with an animal burnt offering. This was a real sacrifice on the part of both Jephthah and his daughter, for he had no other child. (Jg 11:34) Therefore no descendant of his would carry on his name and his inheritance in Israel. She wept, not over her death, but over her “virginity,†for it was the desire of every Israelite man and woman to have children and to keep the family name and inheritance alive. (Jg 11:37, 38) The account also tells us that his daughter “never had relations with a man.†Had these words applied only to the time prior to the carrying out of the vow, they would have been superfluous, for she is specifically said to have been a virgin. That the statement has reference to the fulfilling of the vow is shown in that it follows the expression, “He carried out his vow that he had made toward her.†Actually, the record is pointing out that also after the vow was carried out she maintained her virginity.—Jg 11:39
The fact that she was NOT killed is easy to verify by simply reading verse 40:
"From year to year the daughters of Israel would go to give commendation to the daughter of Jeph′thah the Gil′e‧ad‧ite, four days in the year." Yes, that's right Daniel, they would regularly travel to visit her, and commend her for holding up to her father's vow. ;)

The Bible's frank reporting is only "sick" to a sick mind like your's, one that has been fed on the Anti-God critics, like the Aetheist book you are reading now. Its called "garbage in - garbage out". You are CHOOSING to feed on the lies and slander against God, making yourself a ready ally to the real enemy Satan the Devil. I've told you many times the TRUTH about God, but you CHOOSE not to hear it, so that you can continue to believe the LIES. What possible good do you think might come of your anti-Bible vitrol? Why do my beliefs disturb you so much? Do you think that perhaps you might shake my faith? Shatter my beliefs? Expose the error of my ways? Convert me to your belief that man/science is going to usher us into an age of Eutopia, with all our ills and problems solved, when my personal experience is that man and his greed are responsible for most, if not all, of the suffering that we see today?
"All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, [during] the time that man has dominated man to his injury." (Eccl. 8:9 NWT)
"I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." (Jeremiah 10:23 NWT)
Yes, man does have the technology and intelligence to solve many of earth woes, but he lacks the MORALITY to do so.

That insult is uncalled for, and only weakens your argument.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(keydiver @ Mar 12 2007, 02:52 PM) </div>
And the entire world informs you repeatedly, through a vast diversity of media, the TRUTH about nature, but you CHOOSE not to hear it, so that you can continue to believe the many contradictory, irrational LIES of religion.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(keydiver @ Mar 12 2007, 02:52 PM) </div>
Acknowledging that possibility is the very essence of intellectual growth. A rational person is always aware that new knowledge might overturn prior assumptions. That's why it's a good idea not to get emotionally attached to a particular belief - it prejudices you, and makes it more difficult to accept TRUTHS that conflict with your belief. That you so defiantly, confidentally assert yourself CLOSED to even considering points of view, or facts counter to your beliefs, one has to wonder why you discuss the matter at all.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(keydiver @ Mar 12 2007, 02:52 PM) </div>
True. Also, that man, NOT "god", is responsible for ALL the significant alleviation of suffering mankind has profited from since the first man reared up on his hind legs and realized he could ALTER nature itself. Some churches comfort the sick and dying and think themselves humanitarian; secular man CURES the sick and SAVES and PROLONGS LIFE.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(keydiver @ Mar 12 2007, 02:52 PM) </div>
WRONG!
It is MAN'S morality, not "god's" that is ending slavery as an accepted human institition.
It is MAN'S morality, not your misogynist "god's" that is giving women full stature in more cultures - the right to vote, the right to an education, the right to work, the right to govern.
There are many more examples, but those are two major ones just off the top of my head.

But, as you so stridently declared, I may as well be talking to a stone wall.

Wow!.. this is getting exciting!... we truely are nearing the very last days.....

Jesus talked about the strong deception that would come.. I never realized how deep it was until reading these threads!.. We're getting close!.. Yippi!

(2 Th 2:8 NKJV) And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
(2 Th 2:9 NKJV) The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
(2 Th 2:10 NKJV) and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(2 Th 2:11 NKJV) And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
(2 Th 2:12 NKJV) that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Th 2:13 NKJV) But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,

Note that God gave them strong delusion so they would be condemned.... its a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God!...
Some will never see God, because they have already made thier choice.. its not that they are lost, or confused.. they have actually chosen to follow the devil.

Some are chose as vessels of mercy and some for wrath...... you have allot to be thinkful for if you Know God.

Those that are so cocky to accuse God and challenge him rather than fall on thier face at his feet for mercy..... they too will bow, but it will be too late.

(Rom 9:21 NKJV) Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
(Rom 9:22 NKJV) What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,
(Rom 9:23 NKJV) and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,

My job is to be a light and show the way, its up to the person and God as to whether they will unite.... not really any of my business unless I"m called to bet involved as I have no power on my own.

I used to fret over those who would not see, but I finally realized some are the children of perdition and there is really nothing I can do about it, and others just need more time for the good seed to grow and sprout.
Anybody who is "worrying" about whether they are a child of perdition... is most likely not.... those that hope they are and are glad of it are the decieved ones.
I detect that grade of arrogancy and deception from some on this thread.

(2 Pet 3:7 NKJV) But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

I know we are to pray for those who despitefully use us because they are lost and don't know thier way, but there is another crowd that should not even be prayed for as it will do no good.. they have made thier choice.

Note Jesus didn't pray for the whole world either... only those that were chose of the Father... many are called, but few are chosen.

Problem is, its hard to really know the wheat from the tares until they mature... I'm pretty sure there is some healthy tares out here in spots.

(John 17:9 NKJV) "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.

Funny!.. If Jesus Loved the whole world, but yet didn't pray for the whole world????
He trusted the wisdom of the Father as to which ones were trying to find him and needed prayer verses those who were fully set in thier heart to do evil.

(2 Tim 3:12 NKJV) Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
(2 Tim 3:13 NKJV) But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

It breaks my heart so see so many decieved and fully set in it.....

Does this mean if thermonuclear war erupts you'll welcome it as the "last days" and cheer "yippi!"? I ask because thermonuclear war would indeed be the "end of the world", and except for meteorite strike it's the only thing that could bring genuine apocalypse, so I wonder if that's what you're hoping for.

The fact that religious belief would lead anyone to be able to look forward to nuclear armageddon I think proves indisputably how sick and anti-human religion really is.

I"m sorry you have nothing to look forward to in these last days.. but if you wouldn't be so close minded, you may realize these are exciting times we live in.... the are the last days of prophecy... a time that scholars of old longed to see and could not... we are seeing the bible unfold everyday in our newspapers!

War is no fun for anybody.. especially the Nuke... why do you insinuate I am looking forward to that?.. why do you try to add words?..... are you even trying to think about what I'm saying, or just add foul meaning to everything I say to try and desperately make me look evil?

I"m looking forward to the coming of the Lord and the end of time yes, that when eternity really starts.

It will be a day of woe for many...... the day of the Lord will be a fearful and dreadful day....but those who are his children have always been protected from judgement.

I'm not afraid of this life.. not what it can do to me.... my real life is beyond all this... this is not my only hope.
I enjoy my life, my grandkids.. my wife, my home.. America is good and life is good..... but I long to see Jesus face to face.

I know that sounds corney, but if you ever felt his person just one time you would know what I'm talking about.

The intense love and joy beaming from his glory.... I have only seen a fraction... . just a tiny glimpse, and I'm already looking forward to the full time thing!

If we get hit by a nuke.... I hope its a good one and we are all melted instantly..... living through one and the radiation poisoning is what would not be fun!...

But yes, I look forward to the afterlife..... My life is not my own to take it at will..... Once I got to heaven and looked back and realized what I could have done to help others, I would probrably want to come back just for that and endure the pain and mess of this all.....
I can wait... once we get there, this will be all over and we will move on and be in the presence of God for ever.

I don't think he mean't that as an insult.... just an observation.... I'm serious!...
insults is purposefully saying things to hurt and maim......

Sometimes when you hear something that sounds insulting.. try to evaluate if the speaker is trying to tell you something they are witnessing or surmising and analyze why they have come to that conclusion.

Your right about the wall thing.....
Let me remind you who "King Nebby" is:

Sometimes this is the only hope for some to find God

(Dan 4:30 NKJV) The king spoke, saying, "Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?"
(Dan 4:31 NKJV) While the word was still in the king's mouth, a voice fell from heaven: "King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you!
(Dan 4:32 NKJV) And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses."
(Dan 4:33 NKJV) That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles' feathers and his nails like birds' claws.
(Dan 4:34 NKJV) And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.
(Dan 4:35 NKJV) All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, "What have You done?"
(Dan 4:36 NKJV) At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me.
(Dan 4:37 NKJV) Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

That insult is uncalled for, and only weakens your argument; why is that when someone disagrees with a conservative Bible person, they respond with something along the line of 'a sick mind'?

do not know. But it does, indeed, weakens your argument.

Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world.

Remember 1 John 1:5, "God is light and in Him is no darkness at all." If Christ is in you, you will be filled with His light. It is a responsibility to take seriously--knowing that you are the light of the world!

Which means, if you believe this, you should not be putting down those who don't believe. You are shading Christ's light, when you do that. Get it? Come on ALAN, you need to see this, and repent of your ways when it comes to putting down those who don't believe as you do.

Turn up the Light, don't dim it by being negative.

Man is also behind the imperfections in the Bible, but does man acknowledge this? No. It's far easier to knock those who say, nay, declare that parts of the Bible are indeed, flawed. There is wisdom, and truth, and a whole lot of lies in there...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(windstrings @ Mar 12 2007, 08:18 PM) </div>
Now, then, should you pray for those even more so? 70 times 70, I would suggest...Choices can be always reversed. In the end, a murderer can ask for forgiveness, and is given this by God. Clearly, if that can happen, there is always hope, right ALAN?

Fun stuff this...
John 12:44 –John 12:50 Jesus summed it all up when he cried out, “Whoever believes in me, believes not just in me but in the One who sent me. Whoever looks at me is looking, in fact, at the One who sent me.
I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in me won’t have to stay any longer in the dark. If anyone hears what I am saying and doesn’t take it seriously, I don’t reject him. I didn’t come to reject the world; I came to save the world. I’m not making any of this up on my own. The Father who sent me gave me orders, told me what to say and how to say it. And I know exactly what his command produces: real and eternal life. That’s all I have to say. What the Father told me, I tell you.â€

If JESUS did not reject people, who are we to reject them? It is not the purpose of the sun's shining to cast shadows, but when the sun shines, shadows are inevitable.

ALAN, you offer scripture after scripture, ad nauseum, yet, you miss the subtle things. Christ came to offer a peaceful message, one God sent Him on, and it's really simple. Why do you want to make it more complicated?

Shall we play a game?~ WARGAMES
I don't look forward to the end of the world, no, but I do see the signs...There is a guy, I have brought him up before, who is at this very moment declaring himself the Antichrist, and his followers are marking themselves with 666. Now, the argument could be made, and might be, that he is a nut, and his followers are nuts as well.
But, and I ask this with all sincerity, what if this guy, and his followers, are helping to fulfill scripture, right here, and right now? It boggles the mind, if you allow it, to think that something a man wrote over 1800 years ago, is about to somehow, come true...I am speaking of Revelation. And if just a bit of what John wrote comes true, well, it will be an exciting time.

Note, that I think of that in a positive light; I want to see history in the making, good and bad. Sort of how I want to see Hillary win. Not because I think she would be a good president, but I would love to be alive during the time a woman wins. Or a black man. Either way. I love history, past and present.

I served in the Navy at the height of the cold war, and we always said, that if the bombs fell, it would be fascinating, in a curious way, to see what is left of the world, how it would cope...Don't label me as sick for this, I am just curious. The same curiosity that I bring to my own demise with my cancer. Will I survive? I am so far, but what if I don't? I am so curious to see what is on the other side. I only wish I could report back; if what I believe is true, or if what I believe is false, or if it's neither...

I may seem like I am off my rocker here, but I'm not. I guess I view this like a lot of NASCAR fans: They don't claim to want to see the wrecks at a race, but come on, deep down, they would be disappointed if none happened.

I don't really want to see the end of the world, but if it happens, and I am around, I will be fascinated. I guess you think I'm nuts now..Sorry.

There are many things that have happened in the last 40 years the make unprecedented marks in prophecy.

Its true, the deciples thought the coming was in a few years maybe..... and we really don't know how much longer it could drag on.....

But what we do have to be careful of is that when it happens, the prevelant feeling of the world will be to be numb as if ignoring the cry of wolf.

But part of the devils plan is to bring up so many counterfeits that when the real happens, the only ones that will be ready are those that have thier lamps full because of their close fellowship, and are not sleeping.

I guess its kinda like a surprise inspection.... if they tell you in advance when its going to happen 'everyone" will be ready.. but if they come without warning.. only those who abide by the truth will be ready.

We are all at the mercy of God to be ready.

As someone else acknowledged, it is not an insult, but an observation. Daniel's irrational banterings about "animals that have been tortured for billions of years" and "the Bible being a very immoral book" are delusional. He has fed his mind with so much twisted, perverted thinking that he can't hold a reasonable conversation about the Bible, but instead DELIBERATELY blasphemes and derides the things he knows many of us hold very dear, just to get a rise out of us. That's not "sick"? Don't try to turn it around on me and make ME look like the bad guy, as I recognize a "wounded duck" ploy when I see it. "Oh look, now you have offended me, so that proves you are wrong, and I am right." Yes, let's distract the readers from seeing that I actually totally corrected his wrong post, accurately and succinctly.

And where is your proof of this? Slavery is still quite commonplace in many countries. In fact, the twisted child sex slavery seems to be booming, from what I've seen in documentaries. I wasn't aware that we had instituted a "collective morality". Who is enforcing it?
We had a thread last week on slavery, so I'm not going to repeat everything I posted there, except to say that TRUE Christians NEVER held slaves in Colonial times. The Anabaptists and Quakers, just to name a couple, so you can't try to say that "the Bible justified slavery". We were through that last week, look it up.

So, now you are saying "God hates women", is that right? I don't think so:
"And Jehovah God went on to say: “It is not good for the man to continue by himself. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him. (Genesis 2:18 NWT) So, woman was created as a COMPLEMENT and HELPER for man, not a slave. The Hebrew word translated “complement†can also be rendered “counterpart,†which has been defined as “a thing that fits another perfectly." God's command to subdue the earth was given to BOTH of them, equally.
The Bible instituted monogamy as the standard for marriage, which I think shows great respect for women. Wives were to be “cherished,†not “dealt treacherously†with. (Deuteronomy 13:6; Malachi 2:14, 15)
In Israel, men and women were equal before the Law if they were found guilty of adultery, incest, bestiality, or other crimes. (Leviticus 18:6, 23; 20:10-12)
In the book of Proverbs, the Bible praises the “good wife,†the “capable wife,†the “discreet wife,†and “the truly wise woman.†(Proverbs 18:22; 12:4; 19:14; 14:1) Proverbs chapter 31 describes such “a capable wife†and shows how much trust her husband had in her and how many prerogatives he allowed her in handling important household matters. Unquestionably, when the Law was followed in Israel, women were not treated badly.
The Bible contains many accounts showing how God used and blessed women in working out his purposes. Some of the most notable were Rahab, Sarah, Ruth, and Esther, but there are MANY more that God showed favor to. Christian women received the holy spirit and ‘prophesied,’ or boldly spoke forth “the magnificent things of God.†(Acts 2:11-18)
So, again, I find no evidence for your accusations. God is not partial. We are all his creation, and he loves us all equally. As usual, you have a problem separating BAD RELIGION from TRUE RELIGION that really LIVES by God's commands. Where do you think man gets his ideas of morality? Abraham Lincoln was no Aethist, and I'm sure most of the Suffragette women weren't either.

Oh boy! Another one!

For those just joining us, let me repeat the rules here:

Saying "You are a SICK, PERVERTED SINNER who will BURN IN HELL!" is not an insult, it's an observation.

Saying "I personally don't believe in God" is a SICK, PERVERTED, MUD-SLINGING, ANTI-CHRISTIAN insult.

But when you tell them their God isn't your God, they get all whiney.
