    I want to correct myself. I said air goes through the coils. I was thinking of the fire trucks I am used too. Sorry for the brain fart.

    Another Urban/Internet myth.

    Heat is transferred better the more air that moves past the fins......that means faster movement.

    The main reason that the fan at home runs a bit slower is to get better dehumidification .......because T
    HAT works better with slower air movement. It also helps to prevent objectionably cold drafts if you happen to be sitting near a vent.

    A simple "redneck" alternative is to just lay a long white piece of cloth across the windshield that you "hold" in place by closing the front doors over the ends of.
