Is it possible to easily check the transmission fluid level on the 2010 Prius?

Or is the only way to do it to take the bottom plastic shield off and then unscrew the fill valve and stick a gloved finger in the fill valve?

I've changed it 3 times. After the first time, I followed the Repair Manual instruction, which said recheck about a day later.

Which was the hard way: jack it back up again, front AND back, check for level by taking off the fill bolt (I believe you can do this without engine shield removal? But I probably did anyway, if I recall correctly...), and feel with a finger.

I've never had the inclination to do another check after that. I think if you got the level right, the bolts are installed right, and you're not seeing any leaks, it's fine.

I’ve got an inverter water pump and fuel pump lined up :).

    Preventative maintenance of course;).

Could be the next round for you (y).

@Rebound said it was too bouncy:whistle:.

So we need to leave it to those with great equipment and abilities (y).

Tripod is fine for most things;).

But fine details in the engine bay require better views and I ain’t got a great camera:(.

    But we know who does(y).
