It would be nice to name preset radio station names like, 88.1MHz to WHYY. Is this possible?

Yes, of course. You can name them anything you want. The name must be registered with the FCA.

haha! Seriously. It would be nice to select preset channels not by their frequencies but radio codes. I could not find any info in the manual.

Some of mine come up with station names automatically - about ½ of them:

Alan, your radio is different - You are missing the knobs. :D

Seriously, I think the text displayed is based in information transmitted by the radio station. I know of no way to manually name the presets.
