Is it worse to keep battery full overnight or empty overnight?

    The regular Prius is usually kept around 80% of 80% though. Whereas the prime is much more variable, which I think is what is contributing to my extreme capacity loss as my car is usually kept at 10% of 80%.

    No. The chemistry is different. The ones for the Prius are designed to be charged and discharged frequently with a more varied range of charge level (having a small SOC range doesn’t help either).

    The Prime’s chemistry is designed for fully charging then discharging and then fully charged again.

    I found this statement backing up your information, thank you.

    The cell chemistry between the two is different (the regular Prius requires more durable and power dense batteries, while Prime more energy dense), as well as the number of cells, but overall engineering seems similar.
