Yes there are 3 types of systems for the 3rd generation Prius

    2. 2012-2015 6.1" LCD Flash-based navigation system (Made by Harmon Kardon) (Model 3, 4, 5)
    3. 2012-2015 7" LCD Premium Hard-drive-based navigation system (Made by Denso) (Model 3 w/ SR pkg, 4 w/ Deluxe SR pkg, 5 w/ AT pkg)

No. 2010 and 2011 models are DVD-based. There's a disc behind the screen.

I DID NOT get it because of the price/option issue. I opted for a Prius Two with remote starter for my needs. I didn't feel the Entune was worth it, nor did I need the NAV package (I already own a Garmin and know my way around locally). Since Entune was not lifetime when I purchased, I didn't want to keep paying for something of dubious value after 3 years to use it.

The summers get hot, but the remote start works for heating or cooling and runs for 12 minutes. Other than the power driver's seat, the other options couldn't justify the extra $3,500 it would cost just for the gimmick of a solar roof option.
