I guess in a few years they will be selling multiterrabite Iphones preloaded with every song known to man, for about a buck.

The phone will cost a buck, but your credit card will be charged 25 cents every time you listen to a song.

Hey MarkMN, I am 1000% behind you. The gripe about those Pepsi downloads is so true. Not only what you said, but one has to download THEIR player [30gb download] to listen the the 'free' pepsi tracks.
I found the easiest way to beat the game--burn all your tracks as mp3 onto a 700mb CD. I can usually get anywhere 250 to 350 tracks on one 700mb CD. Just think: I can carry 12 CDs in the storage compartment under the radio, and those 12 cds will allow me to drive coast to coast and not be able to listen to all the CDs in that trip.

I used to do what you did, but if I were to continue, any suggestion where I should portably put my videos of my kid? Store the elmo dvds for my kid on long trips? Store all 4000 of my pictures? Store all my npr podcasts? And store 10 latest movies I haven't got time to watch just yet?

What happened to the old (last years  ) 30Gb video ipods? When they lowered the price of the 80G units to what the 30 used to sell for and brought out the 160's for the price of the old 80's, what happened to all the 30G units that were on the shelves? Shouldn't they be available at a steep discount?
