Is there a consensus on which phone mount is the best with this model?

I bought the wizgear magnetic vent mount, and the fit is not the best since the vent is vertical. I was wondering which ones you guys have found to be the best mount?

I use a nimbus mount in place of the stock shifter:

With the new texting laws in CA, this is a good option. There is a magnet in the mount, and a corresponding magnet for placement in your phone.

    $20 on Amazon(y).

If your phone is mounted to the shifter, isn't it kind of a hassle shifting? Especially if you have a bigger phone, like the Galaxy Note.

I only shift twice(reverse to get out of a spot, then drive), and not while driving;).

I use Pro Clip in my Prius. I like it a lot. Lots of mounting options and you can get a different device holder if you change phones.

Where do you guys hang your phone? I have tried several different holders but still haven't found the proper one. Price also matters since I need to buy the same for 3 cars...

Anyway, what interests me the most is the location. I tried Proclip holder in here. The problem is that my OnePlus 3 is so big I cannot see the displays properly. Also the charge cables are a mess in here.

Then I tried the next option:
It's so low I cannot see the phone navigator warnings. However, the location is good for the charge cables.

There's also a window mount but pulling a "normal" charge cable there is a problem.

    Any ideas?

See post #2 above for the Nimbus mount. It replaces the shift knob and does not block the view of the HSI screen. It securely holds my iPhone and allows for charging while mounted and the cable is not all over the place.

Based on your location criteria listed, the Nimbus might be a good option(y).

I've got this one from Panavise. The photo is not my installation, my actual phone holder is a little smaller.

I work in an area of San Francisco, near Bonhams Auction House, that has many car break-ins and needed a mount which would go unnoticed. I saw the ironically named Steelie at a neighborhood Orchard Supply and it has been excellent.

It's mounted just to the left of the center vent. The chrome ball has been brushed to lower the reflectivity.

The only issue you need to accept is the small magnetic bump on the back of the phone. (see last image)

Just browsing our local store yesterday, found this. Fits cup holder, might even work. But that price... :(

I use the side window pro clip one. It is perfect in terms of functionality. Was high priced but worth it to end the discusssion for good. I use a 6 ft (2m?) cable to reach it for charging that has to be draped over the steering wheel if I am using it. Hasn't been an issue so far.

I have one similar to this, and just like the picture, the phone flops around.

Someone on this site posted that they use this one so I ordered and really like it, holds the phone where I put it and magnet is plenty strong.

After reading this thread, I got the Nimbus mentioned earlier and have been happy with it for the last month.
