    I'd like to thank everyone for their feedback in this thread. I ended up buying a new 2013 Two. The dealer gave me such a good deal on it, and gave me far more than I expected for the old one, and I apparently had the highest total VIP points the finance guy had ever seen, and they gave me 0% financing.

    It was, as the man once said, an offer I couldn't refuse.

    So where can I get one of these code readers, along with instructions to use it?

    mini VCI on eBay. Also AutoEnginuity has one. Also the Torque app for Android phones, with a bluetooth CAN bus adaptor.
