Is this necessary at 70K

    This thread has been highly educational. Over here in Japan, I just got my 2 year service quote (including registration) from the dealer for my 2011 and....wait for it: $2k!

    They want $60 for oil treatments (googling them turned up a page that said, appropriately, "snake oil") and $40 for engine bay washing among the usual over-charging for parts. Labor charges alone are $400. IIRC it takes them about 3 hours. I wish I could make $400 for 3 hours of work.
