    I'm getting Package #8.

    And I dont believe it. My dealer even said "hey wanna test drive your car over the weekend? I'll put dealer plates on them". I thought.....holy crap...but what will my wife say? She will kill me because we have all these things planned this weekend and she would not see me all weekend. So.....I said, gawd that was a totally wonderful suggestion but I best not.

    And so it goes. Monday will be here for sure.

    Your going to the Chicago event right? I want to go but ONLY if I get my Prius by then. I would be worried about driving my Escort that far.

    So on Monday your getting your car. Oh wow that's SO cool!

    Yes, Monday for sure or else my PAS (Prius Anticipation Syndrome) will cause me to go into shock. hehe

    I hope you get your Prius. Will be good to meet other Prius folks. By the way, there is a neat site that might help you get a feel for the GPS in the Prius. It is the Lexus site. (gee) Here is the link:

    Make sure you have your speakers turned on as it will describe it all for ya. Except for the surrounding buttons around the screen, the GPS in the Prius is exactly the same as in a Lexus. Now dont we all feel important? lol

    Oh gosh Mondays going to be her VERY soon! So what are you all going to do with your car the first night you get it? Your wife is going to think your in love with your car once you get it :lol:

    yea... the prius is quite unique because its in such demand... but 100.00 is very nice for a dealer!

    Just dont' buy the warranty no matter what they say or how foolish they try to make you feel.... just tell them, you will buy when you approach your 3 year 36K mile limit. You may sell, it may get totaled "God forbid" or stolen..... and you can buy it here through priuschat for under 1000.00...the full warranty!
    Just in case we haven't told you "I don't remember", I wanted to share that.

    I doubt you will find an 06 just waiting to get scooped up... only 05's. They are all gotten per order..... without my being able to word better, what I mean is I don't believe they order them and let them set on a lot like you see most cars waiting for someone to buy. They are all basically spoken for in advance.

    I won't but the warranty at the dealership. I will wait to recover from the cost of buying the car. EricGo was nice and told me about the extended warranty I can get on here. I will do that. But as your saying I will wait to get it. Maybe I will wait out the full 3 years now too. Like you are saying (gosh your smart) something could happen between now and then and I will possible waste my money if I get it now. (Just saw the thread on that head on collison someone encountered. :unsure:

    I will probably get my name on a waiting list. I just won't be singing any contracts though until the car is ready to be mine! I will give them a deposit at this time ONLY!

    Windstring you sure have a good way of putting things. I appreciate your help. I sure hope nothing happens with my new car!

    Thats should be all you will have to do... you won't have to commit to the big bucks till your car has arrived and is delivered.
    I also believe with most warranties you can get a prorated refund should something tragic happen and you not use it all.... but its nicer not to deal with that hassle if not needed.
    The only disadvantage is the price of the warranty "could" be a little higher in another 3 years.... but oh well... we get a decent deal here anyway.

    Yeah when I read about the nice cheaper warranty on here that EricGo told me about I came a running to check ot out!!

    Hopefully it won't go up to much in a couple years.
