    - see NOS booth...
    - park by them and help promote with some stuff..

    - get free cases of NOS to drink.. :p

    ohh.. and i've had marketing people from Home Depot eyeballing my car too.. LOL. :rolleyes:

    When I opened the thread, I thought it was going to be a safety thing like:

    "People see you better, and less accidents"

    While may be true, I am sure that a lot of rubber neckers will cause the make-up
    although maybe not involving you!

    Orange cars are so "70ish." I remember that it was a popular car color for Fords druing that era. My friend had a Ford Maverick, which was based on the same chassis as the original Falcon, made famous with the original Mustang.

    One of my friends bought a bright orange Datsun 240Z like this one in 1971, the first year they came out in the USA.

    2.4 liter engine, weight a little less than the C at 2,355 lbs!

    yeah.. every so often i'll see a nice orange mustang here and there as well.

    some colors just like to come back.. i know for a while brown cars were completely uncommon until i think a few years ago acura came out with one that looked fantastic.. and now more manufacturers are doing brown colors now.

    as a safety aspect... i always say that i'm a moving traffic cone..
    hypermiling and driving the speed limit on the right lane.. etc..

    all i need is a CalTrans logo on the side of my car and the look would be complete.. LOL.

    Was driving my habanero home (3 hours) from the dealership I bought it from in Warsaw, IN. Was in right lane at a decent speed, and an 18 wheeler pulls up on my left and then starts merging into my lane! Forced me into breakdown lane. Guy driving truck behind him just looked at me and threw up his hands. Idiot completely missed me in bright orange car. Horn didn't have enough in it to get the guys attention.

    Glad you're okay. Some drivers are just oblivious - others have no idea what a side view mirror is for - must think it's just for the bling factor.:confused: But most truckers I've seen are careful drivers.

    I bought the RED. I did not know Orange was an option. In California Orange is the color of all the CalTrans (Highway worker vehicles) also they make you wear Orange jumpsuits when you were DUI and have to pickup trash along the highway. Plus Tony Steward dose not Drive for Home Depot anymore so It would not make sence to paint a big # 20 on the side. I made the right choice with Re-sale Red.
