    Hi again...

I bounced around Prius Chat a couple years ago, but then I talked myself out of buying one.

I bought something else. That proved to be a mistake.

I bought a 2008 Prius today. 87k miles, two owners. From a Toyota dealer. They don't keep 10-year-old trade-ins on their lot unless they are cherry. This one is. Most recent owners were Indians, and they tend to take meticulous care of cars. This one certainly seems that way. Not a nick or scratch on it; the only cosmetic issue is some odd stains on the headliner. Full service records, always at the dealer.

$8100 out the door, figuring for my trade. Really, $7200 + tax.

I'm not exactly sure what I bought, options wise, but it's fine by me. Base radio, SKS, and cruise. Also rear-view camera, but that might have been standard. The color is Silver Pine Mica.

So after some delay, thanks for having me :)

edit: turns out to be a Base + Package 2 (or II)

Wow, it's nice to see you back. I was wondering how you were doing with your last purchase. Even though I have a gen3, I'm looking forward to comparing notes with you. Mine handled the brutal summer heat just fine, except the fuel economy took about a 5 mpg hit with the heavy load on the AC. Congrats on your purchase!
