JBL No responding but playing!

    JBL Not responding but playing!

    Hi All,

    I have a UK 2007 T-Spirit with the JBL Stereo system (6 disc cd changer).

    A strange thing has happened today. I have 6 mp3 CD's in the player 1 was playing, I tried to power off the unit but no response. None of the buttons on the unit would respond. If I pop-out the volume control I can control the volume up and down. None of the CD LED are illuminated but the back light is on when the headlights are turned on.

    Powering off the Prius has no effect.

    Anyone seen anything similer?

    I am guessing that the next step is to power off and disconnect the 12v to try & reset the system unless anyone has any other ideas.

    Hi All an update.

    After contacting the origional owner he suggested giving the unit a "couple of slaps".

    Low and behold, a couple of taps on the front panel & everything back to normal!

    Any ideas as to what could have happened :confused:

    I'm also in the UK with a 2007 T-Spirit and getting *exactly* the same problem.
    Did it just get better? Did the problem return, and if so is it getting more frequent?

    No repeat of the problem so far. I have no idea what caused it! Sorry can't be of further help.
