    HEY THERE PRIUS CHAT FOLKS !!!

    :):):):)

    Had quite a busy 2014 and now it's 2015 ... Time Flies !!!

    Here are some of the latest modifications done on the HBII Ride ...

    12-24-14

    O-NEX VIP Puddle Lighting !!!

    **In preparation of the 2015 CES Show (New Thread Post to Follow) I wanted to add these to highlight the vehicle**

    The LED Lights (Slim Housing)

    [IMG]

    Installation

    I will NOT be including a DIY on this installation.

    Removal of the Five Axis Designs / Five:AD Side Skirt

    [IMG]
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Once removed, I measured the distance equally for the 7 Led lights per side, then I drilled the holes, and attached and wired the LED lights.

    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    I've added a switch to the LED Lighting System so that I can control the lights independently.

    After a good day's work of connecting and wiring ...

    Voila !!!

    [IMG]

    Quick Peek from the 2015 CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada ...

    HEY THERE ACCORDLAYINGKIT !!!

    The LED lights I used were from www.VLEDS.com.

    Here's the link to the location on their site :

    http://www.vleds.com/accent-lighting/flexible-strip-lights.html

    At the time I purchased they had the "White 6K Strip Light Striplight 3 Chip 1 Led 1 Inch" available.
    You DO NOT want to use "Interior" strip light as there is no casing to protect from the elements.

    6K is the color of the Leds that I used. I cannot seem to find the 6K available there at the time of this posting however.

    Hope this helps !!!

    Yo Hawaiianbuilt. I saw your car at CES this year. I was just there. I was telling my buddy who also drive a pip about the ground effect kit. I was going to go with the TRD but end up not doing it. But dude i wanted to do those side mirror that fold but don't know if it is even worth doing it. But good job on your car man.

    Thank you for the kind words.

    CES2015 was a great show this year, did you enjoy it too ?!

    In regards to the Side Mirrors they are quite a nice feature, I haven't had the opportunity to get to it myself but from what other owners that do have them, they seem to enjoy them !!

    In addition to the CES Show, do you go to the SEMA Show too ??

    Rodney,

    Without the sponsors. How much you think you put on your ride? I am estimating around 25K in after market parts + labors. By the way, I saw your ride in Cerritos a few months back. I was picking up food at Original Thai BBQ. I didn't know who the owner of the car was. Now I know. Great ride man.

    Nah I don't think he spend that much on his car. I used to drive a Sti and only spend like 8k on part and was able to make it like 450 hp. I think he spend more like 5k min to 10k max

    Yes I went to SEMA, CES is for my work thou, but ya it was OK, Did not see anything crazy or w/e. I was able to sit in your car and touch it at least LMAO. But ya good job. I wanted to do something similar but just kept it close to stock cause i think i m going to sell my prius when the SUpra is coming out.

    HEY THERE PRIUSCHAT FOLKS !!!

    :):):):)

    In addition to the existing O-NEX VIP Puddle Light Modification recently added, I have incorporated the ...

    BEAT SONIC LED CONTROLLER MODULE :

    Car-Den CLC1

    **PLEASE NOTE, this item is a DISCONTINUED Item from Beat Sonic, please contact them directly if you have any questions as they do have some Dealers with limited inventory of this item**

    www.BEATSONICUSA.com

    [IMG]

    The CLC1 :

    - Controls up to 8 LED Strips directly to the module
    - Various Flashing / Sequence patterns including : All Solid, Chasing, Random, etc.
    - Speed Control
    - On/Off Switch

    (With the my level of installation experience and what I wanted the CLC1 to do in this custom application, installation was involved and time consuming)

    Because of that, I will not be posting a DIY on this. However, I will post as many pictures and information as I can !!!

    Let's Begin !!!

    The Beat Sonic CLC1 Unit

    [IMG]
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Wiring Harnesses and Push button Switch

    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Connected

    [IMG]

    External Power Source and Ground Connection

    [IMG]

    External Wiring for 8 LED Light Strips (I've utilized only 7 out of the 8)

    For each side of the vehicle there are 7 Individual LED Lights

    [IMG]

    Sequential Lighting Pattern Labeled on the Harness in Numbers.
    I've paired these numbers with the corresponding wire colors.
    Each of the 7 LED Lights on the Vehicle will be connected to each other in Sequence then Connected to the Controller Unit.
    Each of the 7 Lights required it's own Positive and Ground Connections.

    1 = Red
    2 = Orange
    3 = Yellow
    4 = Green
    5 = Blue
    6 = Brown
    7 = White

    [IMG]

    Connections (Insulated and Quick Disconnect)

    [IMG]

    Then Labeled with the Corresponding Wiring Color

    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Wiring each Individual LED Lights

    [IMG]
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Stealth Installation of the CLC1 Unit
    Because of the size of the unit and the controls, I wanted to install this within the Glove Compartment.
    This was installed on the Top Portion of the Glove Compartment to minimize the obstruction of the contents below.

    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Wiring Trees from Both Left and Right / Positive and Ground Connections

    [IMG]

    Connected to Each Other (Insulated and Quick Disconnect)

    [IMG]

    To be paired with the CLC1 Unit Harness from the Glove Compartment

    [IMG]

    And after 2 Days of work ...

    VOILA !!!

    Here are some videos of 2 of my favorite Sequential Patterns from the CLC1 :
    From the angle taken, you can see both sides light up in unison and uniformity.
    (My apologies for the focus)
    **Depending on your Internet Connect, please allow the Videos time to Start**

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Above Views

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Overall, I am very pleased with the Beat Sonic CLC1 LED Controller.

    This item was well worth the Time and Effort as it's a Quality Product !!!

    It makes a great addition to your VIP Puddle Light Application or wherever you wish !!!

    **AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE, this item is a DISCONTINUED Item from Beat Sonic, please contact them directly if you have any questions as they do have some Dealers with limited inventory of this item**

    Thank you BEAT SONIC !!!

    Happy Prius Modding Folks !!!

    Hey there Kenniekenken !!!

    :):):):)

    I'll see what I can look up for you as far as the removal of the side skirts. Off hand I know there are several Black Circular Clips underneath the Side Skirts as well as Clips inside the door sill !!!

    It's been a while since I was using the OEM Side Skirts, I can't remember off hand what was necessary, I apologize.

    You may need a special tool for prying these out.

    Hope this helps !!!
