JDM Prius Steering Wheel

It's been cold here so I cannot comment on the above. That said, my wife is driving our Prius now so I pulled it off and put it up for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

A local retailer (a friend of Tommy who does the turn signal mirror installation for a number of us) has the non-sport version in stock and sold some already. The sport version (shown in the OP, with the enlarged "thumb rests" at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock) are coming in 2-3 weeks and I've placed my order for that. They're $190 shipped but not up on the website yet so you'll need to contact Nigel at [email protected] if you're interested.

 

Oh, crap, I may have to buy that!

I contacted that eBay seller and am waiting to hear back. If he still has the all black ones I am gonna order one. How long did it take them to respond to you?

 

I am just about to replace mine but have a question.
In stead of removing the battery terminal, can I just remove the SRS airbag fuse?
It is on page 416 of the manual and the fuse location is #28.

Yeah, I don't know why people want to pay more but the piano black SPORT version is backordered as well for Nigel. Should arrive in a couple weeks or less. The heat blue steering wheel can be gotten through him for $210 shipped.

In the meantime, Nigel has the non-SPORT version in piano black in stock for $190 shipped and has sold some already. I guess this normal version lacks the thumb rests/bumps shown in the OP and you can get that if you don't want to wait (unless Nigel has sold out of that already). I am going through Nigel and he is getting me the sport version and supposedly has found the piano black inserts to cover the silver strips where the Bluetooth buttons are. He is supposed to let me know when he receives them so I can order from him.

 

what's the difference between the sport version and the non sport version ?
