Jetta hybrid . . . who died

    I'd like to see a cutdown if you happen to know of a picture. All I can really gather from the schematic is that Ford added gearing between the PSD and M/G2

    Physically, I don't think there is that much difference between them. Most of the difference is likely in the software in how the physical changes are handled. The original deal was over 21 patents of Toyota's. I recall Toyota had around 120 patents with the HSD. The overlap was at most 25%.

    The Toyota one appears larger in Bob's picts, but they appear to be from the Lexus RS250h. Which isn't there current gen like the Ford picts.

    The PSD can be the same. Ford could have copied it from when the Project for the Next Generation Vehicle dissected the Prius. Or they honestly came up with it on their own. Lots of people out there working on the same problems. Convergence happens. Or they both just copied Paice's design.
