    Ok I figured it out. In the interest of helping those who might have issues in the future: pull the pin all the way out, then push the clip in by the larger "ring" part of the pin. I had to wriggle it around in a circular motion until the prongs went in, then push the center pin in to catch. Ugh that was a PITA!

    Haha thanks. The key was the wiggle and watching where I was pushing in the clip though!
