Just installed Safari?

Every couple of weeks I gind a message on my screen wanting me to update i-tunes, (which I removed), Quickbooks (which I have but very rarely use), and Safari is also on the list of applications to be installed. I', going to have to gifure out where the notifications are coming from as it is a pain in the butt. My computer does a scans and a full backyp nughtly and I really do not like seeing any product trying to not only update, but add software I do not want to the matrix of programs with just the click of a button.

I had no idea email was browser dependant?????? That didn't make sense to me. My email just downloads in the background be it from a pop account or my exchange server.
